2019 Fiat Abarth 124 GT Hardtop to Geneva Review & Changes – Fiat is spicing up its 124 lineups with two special edition models which will be exposed at the Geneva International motor show in March. Colored in exclusive Alpi Oriental Grey exterior color, the 124 Abarth GT include the standard convertible soft top and definitely will also include a light tough top created fully of carbon fiber that can cause an attractive user profile. The tough top weighs in at just over 35 pounds, is lined on the inside, and has a rear windowpane with a defroster. Fiat statements the hardtop is easy to remove and reinstalled in a handful of easy steps.
The Abarth 124 GT also features 17-inch Ounce Ultra-Light alloy wheels that are about 6.6 pounds lighter in weight than the standard wheels. A flat black hood and a carbon-fiber rear spoiler are non-obligatory. A Gunmetal front spoiler complements the Gunmetal vanity mirror hats, but the decorative mirrors may also be experienced in red or carbon fiber.
Also generating its debut in Geneva is the Fiat 124 Spider S-Design, a limited edition model only available on the Lusso trim. The model features finished metal roll bars, distinctive 17-inch light in weight alloy wheels, a tricolor rear badge, and a reduced red side stripe.
Every 124 special editions will debut together with the 500 Abarth 695 Rivale special edition, the 500X S-Design, Scipio S-Design, and the 500 Looking glass edition family (500, 500X, 500L). These special edition models are not going to achieve our shores but there is an opportunity Fiat brings over in the same way equipped models ultimately.
The 2018 Fiat 124 is available in Classica, Lusso, and Abarth trims and is powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter I-4 engine which produces 160 hp (164 in the Abarth trim) and 184 lb-ft of torque. That engine could be coupled with possibly a six-speed automatic or manual transmission. At present, the only special edition model is the Red Top edition that features a soft-top in Bordeaux Red.
